Which System?

Flat plate or Evacuated Tubes?

Which is best? The answer will depend on who you ask. We have found that evacuated tube collectors generate more usable energy on average than flat plates, mainly due to the surface area as they are circular. Flat plate collectors generally look more aestheticly pleasing but they are not as efficient as evacuated tubes in overcast or cold weather. For this reason we prefer the evac tubes. The tube collectors are also easier to transport and handle as they come in kit form.

Vented or Unvented?

This will depend on your current system, water pressure and usage. We can advise on both systems and provide a system to suit.

Copper or Stainless?

Regarding cylinders, copper has a greater transfer rate than stainless steel so we do recommend copper cylinders. As well as this, copper is considered healthier than stainless as it kills many water born germs on contact.

Budget or Bespoke?

Any one of our systems will provide energy savings. As with most things, you get what you pay for.
